Tristan Phillips
Tristan began his career in health and fitness industry in 2000, with a passion for Kung Fu. The art of the Kung Fu system drew him in, and he spent ten years practicing and teaching the intricacies of Chinese Martial Arts. In that time, he acquired the rank of 4th Level Black Sash. Then, in 2008, Tristan discovered kettlebells, which connected with him in the same way. People call kettlebells the martial arts of strength training, and Tristan agrees. But every tool for strength has its place. So, he acquired certifications in the use of barbells, sandbags, and even his own bodyweight in the form of the progressive Calisthenics Certification. “All you really need to get strong his gravity.” Tristan hasn’t looked back since. He takes every opportunity to learn and realized quickly that incorporating movement into strength programs only made them stronger. With certifications like: Russian Kettlebell Certification (2010), Certified Functional Movement Specialist (2011), Primal Move Instructor (2013), Maximum Impact Barbell Instructor (2013), Strongfirst Kettlebell Certification (2013), Original Strength certified Instructor (2014), Pain Free Performance Specialist (2018), Progressive Calisthenics Certified Instructor (2020) and many more. Tristan is an expert who knows how to help people move better and get stronger. According to Tristan, if you do not move well, you can’t truly be strong. Strength and movement are inseparable. The quality of your life is directly related to how well you move. When you cannot move well, you move less. The less you move, the worse you move. That is how it all starts. You don’t fall apart because you age, you fall apart because you sit more and move less.
